Character Information
Name: Wade Wilson // Deadpool
Age: 30's-ish
Fandom: Marvel Comics
Appearance: Despite what Wade has lead everyone to believe, his real skin is actually the red and black leotard he struts around in. I kid, but seriously, it might as well be, since he hardly ever takes it off. Deadpool looks like your average (anti)hero-in-tights, except it's just there to look edgy. Never mind that it would never help him on a mercenary job that required stealth, but luckily, Deadpool is not stealthy whatsoever. Although, the mask, which looks like a red, bug head with two giant black eyes, does seem to be his trademark, and anybody knows it from a mile away. Deadpool stands about 6 feet tall and is heavily muscled. He could probably crack open a bear if he really wanted. He's also outfitted with pouches, numerous weapons, grenades, and two katana blades. And sometimes, he keeps his lost organs in a pocket. And then, of course, when he does actually take off the mask, others will come to find that, underneath that sparkling personality, there is a horribly scarred face. Not to mention body. Deadpool's body is like one giant scab that is constantly healing over itself. Look at your man. Now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me.
History: Captain America is so awesome. I'm gonna be just like him when I grow up.
Canon Point: After "Secret Avengers"
Personality: So what's the first thing anyone says about Deadpool? Well, besides the fact that he's a murdering scumbag who would kill babies, kittens, and puppies for the right amount of money. Deadpool is called the Merc With A Mouth, and for good reason. Although, while people attribute his chatterbox and distracted personality to his continuously scrambling mind, Wade himself has actually said that it's "just the way I am, bitch!" Wade's thoughts are always changing, either way. He will literally talk about whatever is on his mind without worrying about tact, rudeness, or general awkwardness. He's not afraid to joke about anything; he's not the poster boy for PC, that's for sure. Domino has noted that Deadpool's most fearsome weapon is his mouth, saying that it'll cause you to commit suicide or give up.
Of course, the next thing anyone can note about Deadpool is his general recklessness and violent nature. He's a professional when it comes to getting things done, but most of the time, it's done in the most destructive way imaginable. Unintentionally. But sometimes the general destruction is for the good of his plan. As seen in the short stint in which Deadpool wanted to help the X-Men’s public image, Wade did a lot that looked absolutely horrible in the eyes of the media while wearing his own X-Men outfit. This was all a ploy for the X-Men to seek him out and beat the crap out of him while no one was the wiser. This made them look like heroes in the eyes of people who had always seen them as social misfits and outcasts.
Wade, despite his badassery and no hang-ups on killing people, does seem to possess some moral core. Of course, it's his own set of morals, which no one seems to understand except him and maybe Cable. Example: instead of helping the X-Men bring down Cable (who he disliked at the time), and gain a permanent role on the team, he turns around and betrays them instead. Why? Because he believed in what Cable was doing, even though he didn't really understand it. Wade is just as likely to kill you as he is to help you, although lately, he's been looking more and more into being the guy who saves the day then the guy who blows shit up. He gets in moods sometimes where he has an itch, a need really, to help out, but they're pretty random due to his ever-changing state of mind.
While many people view Deadpool as a dangerous joker who'd rather get himself shot than lose the chance to get in a witty one-liner, this is just a mask he has worn for most of his life. Wade seems to roll with a lot of crap that happens in his life, but in more private moments, one would be able to see just how messed up emotionally and mentally he really is. Frequently losing friends and loved ones, Wade is kind of quick to throw himself into a group of people so he won't be lonely, but at the same time, he refuses to show those he doesn't trust the true side of him. Because there have been very, very few people in his life who made it worth living, he throws himself into impossibly dangerous situations just to see if he can finally die. It's not like anyone would care if he was gone, right?
Game Specific
Suitability: Besides being a mercenary with regenerating powers, too many guns in his apartment closet to count, having an armchair made out of semtex, playing catch with live grenades and living to tell about, and having just one too many marbles loose--
Oh wait, that's about it. Deadpool isn't a stranger to kill or be killed and doing what it takes to get by. Having cancer had made him give less than two shits less about dying, and having the whole Weapon X treatment bestowed upon him, turning him into something close to a monster, made him care even less. He honestly likes embracing death, so toeing the line is something like foreplay to him.
Weapon: To fit in with his fourth-walling and regenerative nature, Deadpool will be using his own life essence. True to his video game incarnation, Wade will be carrying around a large, green, almost-bat-shaped-like-weapon which is actually his lifebar. This may seem like a disadvantage to him; which it totally is.
Considering Deadpool is naturally pretty impervious to dying, it'll be quite a shock for him to find out that if he's hit, shot, stabbed, or hurt enough times, his weapon won't be able to do a thing. The more Deadpool is damaged, the more his bludgeoning weapon will slowly weaken to the point where it feels like you're being hit with a poolnoodle. Depending on what his health is like at the beginning of a match, a hit from his weapon could hurt really bad or could tickle. Eventually, he'll be able to slowly upgrade it to be able to take more hits before it's useless.

What do you get when you mix an unstable, ADD, destructive force with another unstable, ADD, destructive force?
"That's actually a pretty good question, narrator. What do you get?"
There is no answer, dumbass, because we have yet to find out. You see, Deadpool amongst others like him (or not so much like him) in a place like Santa Destroy should equal catastrophy, but seeing as he has yet to actually maim or kill anyone, he's amazed himself. How did he manage to be particularly non-violent and not raise a few eyebrows? In another life, Wade might've found it really odd, but here, it was kind of refreshing. No title to live up to, no personality quirks he had to force himself to display because that's how everyone imagined him. He had always imagined starting a new life somewhere far, far from the realm known as 616.
"Now that's just really meta, subconscious. C'mon, it isn't like I haven't already been to other realms. I'm Deadpool, for God's sake!" The point is, he didn't have to pretend here. He could be whatever he wanted, have whatever name he wanted, live however he wanted. No Avengers or X-men or Fantastic Four to look down their noses at him; just people trying to get by and survive. This was his kind of city.
"Actually, my kind of city is filled with beautiful women who love me for my good looks and NOT because I'm filthy rich." He found himself relaxing, for the first time in ages. For once, he could just breathe.
And it was so...boring.
The television, once his old friend in the wee hours of the morning after he had been up for six days straight, now glared at him cruelly from where it sat. He had just stared at it for two days straight, trying to decide what evil plot it had concocted to make him go absolutely bonkers. Unfortunately, Deadpool failed to recognize that his sudden itch to get out and be Himself was self-inflicted. And really, he should have noticed the moment he started calling the TV "Tony Stark."
It really should have smacked him straight in the face when he finally took a crowbar to the poor thing.
